Xitang village, located in Aotou village southwest of Conghua district, is situated near rivers and hills, where flowers bloom all year around. Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xitang has fully implemented the Rural Revitalization Strategy and has become a high-standard fairytale town.

Capitalizing on the "dormant" resources of rural area, the town has offered special features on rural scenery, farming culture and fairytale experiences, and attracted such companies as Nonggengtianyuan, Qidi Agriculture, Guibo Garden, YCZL(Guangdong Yangchengzhilu International Travel Service CO.,LTD), and Hengjian Group, enabling a rising specialized town with an integrated offering of "agriculture, research, culture and tourism".

Xitang also discovered fine rural culture such as rice-growing, weaving, traditional cuisine, and rice straws, and launched the "Guangzhou Xitang Rice Straw Festival", a leading agriculture demonstrative project with wide recognition. In the coming future, Xitang will continue to dedicate itself to developing as a fairytale town with a distinctive theme, industrial features and an enabling environment for harmonious human-nature coexistence.
