The eco-design town is located at the Liuxi Hot Spring Scenic Spot in Conghua, Guangzhou, and covers a planned area of 801 hectares. It is being built as a new model of industrial park in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It's an example of cooperation between China and Switzerland in the building of low-carbon cities, and it is committed to becoming both a birthplace of advanced international eco-design concepts and also the Chinese capital of eco-design.

Through its eco-design, cultural and technology industries, the eco-design town has become a comprehensive eco-design industrial cluster covering culture, leisure, tourism, sports, education and health.

So far, the international conference center and associated 10,000-square-meter lawn have been opened to the public. The international conference center consists of a main meeting hall of 1,500 sq m and three parallel multifunctional rooms. Its management team has done the utmost to create an impressive place for business meetings, delivering advanced and professional services.

Thanks to the trial operation of high-end hotels and complete catering and accommodation facilities, the eco-design town has seen a robust and parallel growth of ecological, industrial, cultural and tourism industries.

The eco-design town has successfully held over 100 large and medium-sized conferences and activities. These include the World Eco-design Conference, the 2019 RoboRAVE International Robotics Education & Competition, the Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Clear Water & Green Mountains Forum, the 2020 Guangzhou CH50 Ultra-trail Running Race, the National Conference on Homestay Inns, the Glades Music Festival, Ying Tonge Arts Exhibition, and the Experience Camp of Design, Study Tour and Charity. Over 500,000 people have been to the eco-design town.
