1,800 tons of Conghua lychees exported to overseas markets
With upgraded market campaigns and supply chains, the export of Conghua lychees this year increased 20 percent to 1,800 tons.
The total lychee output in 2021 in Conghua is 65,000 tons, the majority of which hit the market in June. With the impact of the COVID-19 resurgence in Guangdong province, where Conghua lies, lychee sales this year were more focused on online channels. The premium quality of the lychees in Conghua has taken overseas sales to 1,800 tons, a 20 percent increase year on year, and the third highest in Guangdong. Its overseas customers are located in Canada, the United States, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Indonesia,Thailand and others. The Liuxi Guiwei variety is particularly commended by the royal family in Thailand.
Besides fresh lychees, the lychee-processed products are also gaining popularity in overseas markets. Lychee wine is particularly popular in Japan.
Premium quality is the key of Conghua lychees' soaring sales this year, despite the impact of the coronavirus. Over the years, Conghua has spared no efforts in transforming the lychee business into a technology-driven industry. Premium lychee varieties such as Jinggang Hongnuo and the seedless varieties were cultivated. Research and development in preservation and processing technology were reinforced, which greatly enhanced deliverability in both international and domestic markets.
