Liuxi Hot Spring Tourism Resort Zone, with a planned area of 29.28 sq km, is 83km away from the urban area of Guangzhou, and has a forest coverage rate of 70 percent. It is a class-I ambient air quality standard area, a "rare hot spring in the world" recognized by the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy, and the first "epidemic-free area"   in China certified by the international community.

It plans to grow into a national tourist resort zone, a hydrotherapy resort zone with hot spring leisure as its main focus, a convention center, a high-end business leisure center, an equestrian training base, and a comprehensive ecological leisure demonstration base combining ecological leisure, boutique tourism and outdoor sports.

At present, the resort has entered its medium-term development stage. A number of high-end hotels have settled here, including the Imperial Springs International Convention Center, Wenxuan Garden Leisure & Conference Hotel, Bishuiwan Hot Spring Resort, Dusit Devarana Hot Spring Hotel, Lantau Peak Hot Spring Hotel, Just Stay Resort and others. The international first-class business meeting and leisure resort zone has taken shape.
