A signing ceremony for cooperation and co-construction between Guangzhou No 6 Middle School and Conghua No 5 Middle School was held on Nov 19, marking the launch of the Conghua campus of Guangzhou No 6 Middle School, which is set to open in September 2023.

The two schools will cooperate in teaching and student fostering and exchanges, aiming to give full play to Guangzhou No 6 Middle School's advantages on teaching faculty resources and teaching and research capacity to enhance faculty capacity and student fostering of Conghua No 5 Middle School.

Established in 1937, Guangzhou No 6 Middle School is among the first group of national demonstration high schools in Guangdong province, leading Guangzhou in academic performance.

Established in 1980, Conghua No 5 Middle School is a full boarding high school and has received strong support from the district government in improving its facilities and faculty resources. In December 2020, the school was named as a regular demonstration high school in Guangzhou. In 2021, a junior high school was added to the school, which relieved the enrollment pressure of local junior high schools.

The cooperation of the two schools is another achievement showcasing Conghua's efforts in educational revitalization and modernization.
