At the recently-held 130th session of the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, 25 enterprises from the city's Conghua district attended the fair.

According to a district government official, 25 foreign trade enterprises in Conghua participated in the 130th Canton Fair with 60 online booths and 29 offline booths (including 20 branded booths). These exhibition booths were divided into 19 sections, mainly in areas such as general machinery, small processing machinery and industrial parts, motorcycles, auto parts, tableware, household products and gifts.

Over the years, Conghua has developed a group of high-quality enterprises in foreign trade with strong innovation ability and extensive development potential that can make products with high technological content and added-value. "Their participation to the fair showcased the competitive advantages of Conghua's manufacturing industry," the official said. 

Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Conghua has seen a continuous increase in foreign trade since the beginning of 2021. Conghua was named by the Ministry of Commerce as a national base for foreign trade transformation and upgrades in the new materials industry in last year. The base is home to over 60 new material high-tech enterprises and has 15 public service platforms in foreign trade. 

Next, Conghua will focus on optimizing its industrial chain and business environment, promoting coordinated regional development, fostering new business modes and offering guidance to enterprises to explore international markets, in a bid to propel Conghua's foreign trade development.
