The winners of the 5th Golden Hot Spring Awards were announced on Dec 8 during its annual conference held in Boao in South China's Hainan province from Dec 7 to 9. A number of candidates from Conghua district in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, were winners.

Liuxi Hot Spring Resort – Top 10 international hot spring tourism destinations
Jointly assessed by international industry associations, including the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy(FEMTEC), the European Spas Association, and the Japan Spa Association, 19 destinations from across the globe became candidates for the Top 10 international hot spring tourism destinations. Liuxi Hot Spring Resort was the only winner from China.

The award is a recognition of the quality of the hot springs, as well as their environment and services, and will help to expand the brand awareness of Liuxi hot springs and build the resort into an international tourism destination.
