The first national list of enterprises graded for hot spring tourism water quality was released recently. Six hot spring hotels and resorts in Conghua district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, were on the list.

This is the first time that the national hot spring quality grading committee has conducted national grading of spring water quality.Thirty-three facilities from Guangdong received national grades. 

According to Zhang Yue, secretary general of the China Hot Spring Tourism Association, the grading was based on the industry standard LB/T 070-2017. Licenses for mining and water abstraction were necessary, among other management agreements, for the grading applications.

Five of the six Conghua hot spring facilities are rated as high-quality and rare hot springs. The sixth one is rated as a high-quality hot spring.
