Conghua district of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, is carrying out a week-long cybersecurity promotion campaign starting Oct 11.

With the theme "Cybersecurity for the People and by the People", the campaign aims to enhance awareness, spread knowledge and improve skills regarding cybersecurity, as well as nurture a clean cyberspace.

A series of activities such as putting up publicity posters, playing short educational  videos, brochure distribution and face-to-face Q&As will be carried out throughout the district. According to statistics, over 7,000 publicity materials on cybersecurity have been disseminated, and the videos have been played over 20,000 times.

The district education bureau is echoing the campaign and has organized learning activities via posters or short videos in schools.

More activities from more departments in the district will follow in a bid to spread knowledge on cybersecurity and help people protect themselves with a better understanding of online security risks.
