Conghua's 1st bicycle overpass opens

The first bicycle overpass in Conghua district of Guangzhou, the capital city of South China's Guangdong province, opened recently. 

Located on Machang Road, the overpass is 5.5 meters wide and is a 12-mu (0.8 hectare) urban greenway designed exclusively for bicycles. The north ramp is built against the mountain and adopts a sub-grade structure. With a length of around 169 meters, it connects to Yongfu Road. The south ramp was built using reinforced concrete continuous beams and approach road. The bridge section is 100 meters long and the approach road 55 meters long, connecting to Zhongshan Road. Meanwhile, spiral staircases of 3.55 meters wide have been set on each side of the G105 national highway.
