Vaccinations to prevent infections from the coronavirus have increased markedly at the largest inoculation site in the Haizhu district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

About 5,000 to 6,000 doses are administered every day at the site, which is in the Guangyi International E-Commerce Industrial Park. The peak was 7,184 on July 1, compared with the daily average of 3,000 doses in May, according to He Guijun, who is in charge of the site.

Twenty-one inoculation desks are available at the site.

Dong Shengxia, 80, said she felt well after the inoculation, which followed a blood pressure check and health inquiry at the site.

Vaccination among people older than 60 started on July 1 in Guangdong.
