Guangzhou has resumed the appointment for second dose of COVID-19 vaccination, announced Zhang Zhoubin, deputy director of the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention during a press conference held on June 7. According to Zhang, since the afternoon of June 6, citizens in the non-closed control area can make an appointment for vaccination if they meet the following two conditions:

1. Have received the first dose of vaccine in Guangzhou.

2. The first dose is taken more than 21 days before.

He also reminded citizens to pay attention to the following matters:

1. Book the second dose of vaccine should be in the same place you received the first dose. Cross-district vaccination is not valid.

2. The appointment service is only open to people living in low-risk areas. Appointment is a must for taking vaccine.

3. Those who have been to the closed-off management area, have had a fever of more than 37.3, have experienced dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell and taste, diarrhea, or any other symptoms after May 20 are required to present a negative result of nucleic acid test taken after June 6.

"After successfully booking a vaccine, please pay attention to personal protection and go to the vaccination site at the appointment time." Zhang Zhoubin said. There is no need for the citizens to wait for the vaccine at the vaccination site.

On May 31, Guangzhou suspended residents' personal appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine temporarily amid epidemic prevention and control.
