Conghua lychee gets thumbs-up from Jinggangshan people
Guangdong lychee was sent to old revolutionary bases via high-speed railway on May 26, part of campaigns to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
As one of the representatives, Conghua lychee was presented to the people of Jinggangshan, a renowned old revolutionary base in East China's Jiangxi province on May 27.
The taste of the Conghua lychee was highly appraised by the participants at an event to enhance agricultural communications between Guangdong and Jiangxi.
High-speed railway networks not only provide super speed for lychee transportation, but also help to spread the brands and stories of Guangzhou lychee all over the country.
Conghua has the biggest lychee planting area in Southern China, at 20, 000 hectare, 35 percent of which are premium varieties. The recorded history of Conghua's lychees dates back almost 300 years.
In the past two months, nearly 12,000 sets of Conghua lychee customization packages had been ordered, reaching a total sales of 23.05 million yuan ($ 3.61 million).
Conghua will also launch Red Tourism for tourists including orchard tours in Conghua's old revolutionary bases with lychee tasting available.
