In November last year, Astra-Zeneca signed an investment agreement with the Guangzhou Development District to locate the company's South China headquarters on Guangzhou International Biological Island.

Guangzhou is the headquarters of Amway China. In recent years, we have transferred global production to and increased the capacity of the Guangzhou factory. Its current output value accounts for 40 percent of the total output value of Amway's global supply chain.

This year, we will build and expand multiple production lines, and continue to play a pivotal role as a multinational company in China to improve the country's dual-circulation development pattern.

Our company was set up in 1998 with a power transformer plant in the east area of the Guangzhou Development District and has since had the strong support of the local government. With a new distribution transformer factory to become operational soon, we will become a leader in the transformer industry. The government has also promoted the "trust-based preparation" policy, helping us implement the new distribution transformer project. The preparatory work such as land-clearing, earthwork and outbound transportation was completed within two months before the project began construction.
