Chebei subdistrict in Guangzhou's Tianhe district continued to chase economic development in 2025 through two major urban initiatives within the eastern Guangzhou International Financial City and Tianhe Intelligence Valley.

The area recently launched two key projects to promote industrial upgrading and urban renewal. The first, operating under the name "ing", operates as Guangzhou's pilot "future city" model. The second involves the reconstruction of collective property in Chebei village, located within the eastern part of Guangzhou International Financial City, on which construction recently commenced. These projects together form a dual approach to industrial and urban development in Tianhe.

Developed through a partnership between Guangzhou Chebei Economic Development Company and Icon Group under a property revenue-sharing model, the "ing" project combines commercial, office, cultural, and recreational facilities. Recognized as a key municipal project, it has reached a 65 percent occupancy rate, with a focus on software and information services.

The Chebei village collective property reconstruction project, launched in November 2025, covers approximately 300,000 square meters. It is designed as a waterfront commercial and public service hub, aiming to enhance collective assets and provide villagers with stable income and job opportunities.

Chebei subdistrict authorities noted that the two projects respectively support industrial growth and urban resource optimization, contributing collectively to regional development objectives.
