The assessment evaluated five key areas: consumption market vitality, payment convenience, international influence, resource concentration, and policy leadership.
Tianhe CBD demonstrated strong performance across these areas, driven by major events such as the Guangzhou International Shopping Festival, Gourmet Food Week, International Light Festival, and the Xiaohongshu Street Life Festival.
The district's international appeal has been enhanced by the introduction of a downtown duty-free store and improved tax refund services. The Liede International Community and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Greater Bay Area Service Center further strengthened global connections.
In terms of commercial resources, retail centers like Taikoo Hui and Teemall hosted exclusive exhibitions and popular IP displays, blending culture with commerce. Leading platform enterprises, including MiaoZhu, Xiaohongshu, and Dewu, have established operations in Tianhe, fostering a dynamic business ecosystem.
Supportive policies have also led to several achievements, with the national headquarters of CITIC Financial Asset Investment established in the area, the Guangzhou International Financial City launched, and record-breaking sales achieved at the Poly Yuexi Bay high-end residential project.
Additionally, payment convenience has been improved through a digital RMB pilot zone and streamlined cross-border payment services.
