Tianhe tops city in economic growth again
Tianhe district's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 536.85 billion yuan ($74.05 billion) in the first three quarters of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.2 percent.
The core digital economy industries achieved an added value of 123.2 billion yuan, up 9.6 percent year-on-year, while the added value of strategic emerging industries was 155.38 billion yuan, growing 7.3 percent, demonstrating strong development momentum.
The artificial intelligence sector is a key driver of this robust performance. In the first three quarters, the operating revenue of designated AI enterprises in Tianhe grew by 10.4 percent year-on-year to 34.95 billion yuan, indicating continued expansion of the industry.

At the conference on Innovative Products and Services in the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry of Guangdong Province, 11 enterprises from Tianhe showcased 40 innovative products. As of October, it hosts over 1,000 AI-related enterprises, accounting for more than 40 percent of Guangzhou's total, forming a complete industrial chain.
Behind the district's industrial development lies a comprehensive AI ecosystem and strong policy support. The district has built an all-encompassing ecosystem around the AI industry, centered on computing power, algorithms, and data. Through multi-dimensional policies, including talent incentives and industrial support, it provides a favorable development environment for AI enterprises. Ample industrial space and strategic planning have helped lay a solid foundation for future growth.
