Tianhe gears up for National Games with tech innovations
July 27 marked the 105-day countdown to the opening of the 15th National Games, with its opening ceremony to take place on Nov 9 at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center – located in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province.
Technological innovations are set to transform the spectator experience at the Games.
An indoor navigation system developed by Guangzhou Mesh Information Technology has been installed at five major venues, including the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center and Tianhe Sports Center, enabling spectators to locate their seats with an accuracy of 1-3 meters through a mini-program.

Over 100 autonomous vehicles provided by Pony.ai will be deployed to offer smart transportation services across Guangzhou.
Additionally, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympics Games will use robot dog guides to improve accessibility.

The Game's schedule prioritizes public engagements by holding key events on evenings and weekends, embodying the "Games for All" spirit.
Following the Games, selected venues will transition to free public use as part of Guangzhou's comprehensive urban improvement plan. It includes infrastructure upgrades and expanded green spaces for a lasting community benefit.
