The Guangdong Olympic Sports Center – serving as the main venue for the upcoming 15th National Games – recently conducted a trial lighting test.

Located in Huangcun village, in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, the venue completed its renovation in late June. In mid-July, marking 120 days until the Games' opening ceremony, the center illuminated its iconic Olympic rings for the first time.

The lighting showcased the venue's upgrades, including a newly installed ceiling projection system that creates stunning visual effects, such as a starry sky display.

The renovation emphasizes post-Games utility, adding 39,000 square meters of green space and a 24-hour public fitness platform on the second floor, featuring an 800-meter smart running track.

Additionally, the newly built 8,000-sq-m command center will be converted into multi-purpose sports facilities after the Games, including basketball and badminton courts, to serve the community.
