The new campus of Tianhe Foreign Language School in the Tianhe Intelligence Business District is scheduled to open its doors to the first group of new junior and senior high school students on Sept 1.

The campus is situated in the central area of Tianhe district, next to the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Chemistry to the east, south of the South China Botanical Garden, and west of the South China Express Line.

The 177-mu (11.8-hectare) campus, designed by He Jingtang's team from the Architectural Design & Research Institute of South China University of Technology, incorporates a "mountain-water" landscape concept that includes integrated learning spaces.

The facility will feature 60 classrooms for senior high school and 30 for junior high school, with a total capacity of 4,500 students.
