The opening ceremony of the 15th National Games is scheduled for November 9 at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center, with the theme "Dreaming of the Future", highlighting the Greater Bay Area's grand vision.

Then, on Dec 8, the Special Olympics will open at the Tianhe Sports Center with the theme "Hand in Hand", highlighting unity.

These were announced at a recent news conference in Guangzhou.

The creative and production teams for both opening ceremonies are now settled at the venues. Outdoor rehearsals will begin in July, followed by on-site rehearsals in August.

The 15th National Games, being the most prestigious national sports event, will gather top athletes from across the country.

Local diving stars like Xie Siyi, Chen Yiwen, and Quan Hongchan will demonstrate their skills in their hometown of Guangdong province. Table tennis champions Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha will energize the arena in Macao. Tennis enthusiasts can look forward to exciting matches from Zheng Qinwen and Wang Xinyu.
