The Cold Chain Smart Industrial Park project, undertaken by China Communications Construction (CCCC), was launched in Tianhe district of Guangzhou on June 16.

Located in the core area of Tianhe Smart City, the project involves a fixed asset investment of around 1.5 billion yuan ($208.9 million), with a planned construction area of around 250,000 square meters.

It is set to become a comprehensive industry chain platform encompassing cold chain storage, food processing, smart logistics, cold chain trading, and a low-altitude logistics demonstration base. It is estimated that achieving an annual operating income and industrial output value exceeding 12 billion yuan will create 2,000 job opportunities.

This project is expected to propel the industrial growth of Tianhe and infuse significant impetus into the modern and intelligent circulation system of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
