Medals unveiled for 15th National Games

The medals for the 15th National Games were revealed on June 10 during a ceremony at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center in Tianhe district.

The medals, named "同心跃" ("Leaping ahead as one"), were created by a team of designers from Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group and a professor from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

The front showcases a layered emblem of rising fireworks above a blooming peony – a national symbol. Sixty-six lines around the rim trace the Games' history since 1959.

On the flip side, the playful Chinese white dolphin mascot leaps amidst swirling waves. The medal's ring design is inspired by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, symbolizing integration.

The 15th National Games are scheduled to take place from Nov 9 to 21, marking the first time that Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao have co-hosted the event. The opening ceremony is set to be held in Guangzhou, with the closing ceremony in Shenzhen.
