Landmark legal-tech forum launches in Tianhe
Tianhe district of Guangzhou recently hosted China's first legal-tech industry forum, which focused on the high-quality development of supply and demand matching.
The event took place at the International Guangzhou Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Base and gathered industry leaders to present advancements in AI-powered legal innovations.
They stressed the importance of legal professionals embracing technology, adapting to AI challenges and opportunities, and ensuring that technological innovation meets the specific needs of the legal industry, overcoming AI limitations and driving modernization in legal practices.
Five leading local legal-tech companies showcased their transformative products, including Guangdong Bowei Chuangyuan Technology's automated case analysis system, Beiming Software's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform, Tipsoft Technology's AI contract review tools and GRG Jugda Digital Technology's cloud computing-based arbitration system.

Guangzhou has emerged as a national leader in judicial AI innovation, from creating the first autonomous DeepSeek model platform to offering cloud-based legal services.
Tianhe stands out as a pioneer in merging law and technology, leveraging its industry strengths and resources. As of March 2025, it hosts 419 law firms, accounting for 38.9 percent of Guangzhou's total, of which 19 firms have a scale of over 100 million yuan ($13.61 million). Its 14,816 practicing lawyers represent 52 percent of Guangzhou's legal workforce.
