Seizing opportunities, Tianhe district is focusing on the northeast region and establishing its "one core, one belt, and two axes" development spatial pattern.

The "one core" initiative aims to create a central urban park around the South China National Botanical Garden and Huolu Mountain Forest Park. This will integrate ecological resources with seven key development zones to shape the city around the park, promote production through the park, and attract talent to the area.

The "one belt" refers to building a high-quality development belt along the Pearl River (Tianhe section). This will be driven by the development of the Guangzhou International Financial City, encouraging core urban functions to cluster along the river and expand eastward.

The "two axes" include optimizing and enhancing the Tianhe section of Guangzhou's new central axis and building the vital innovation axis' Tianhe section.

With the "one belt, two axes" framework and Longyandong and Fenghuang Mountain forest parks acting as natural barriers and green roofs, Tianhe is committed to continuously optimizing its spatial layout and reconstructing new advantages in spatial development.

In the next 10 years, Tianhe is expected to focus on developing seven key development zones, including the Tianhe Central Business District, Guangzhou International Financial City, Tianhe Smart City, Tianhe Intelligence Valley, Wushan-encircled Innovation Source Area, Shahe Area, and Longdong-Fenghuang area, with the goal of achieving resource complementarity and industry interaction.
