Guangzhou's Tianhe district launched a high-quality development conference of the year on Feb 7, setting the tone for an ambitious growth agenda. The district aims to build a "12126" modern industrial system, with key government departments outlining strategic initiatives to drive economic transformation.

The Tianhe Central Business District Management Committee is spearheading investment efforts, targeting large-scale enterprises and leveraging platforms such as the district's financial city and the 2112 industrial park. The committee plans to attract three projects exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion) and 10 projects from the Fortune Global 500 companies this year.

The Tianhe Science and Technology Park Management Committee is advancing industrial expansion, with plans for a Greater Bay Area Industrial Software Park and the completion of 11 major projects, including Xiaopeng Tech Park. Urban redevelopment efforts will expand available industrial space, boosting revenue in the Smart City sector by over 10 percent.

The district's development and reform bureau is overseeing major infrastructure projects, with 208 key developments worth over 670 billion yuan in progress, aiming for an eight-percent increase in fixed-asset investment.

Meanwhile, the district's science, industry, and IT bureau is focused on software and high-tech sectors, targeting double-digit growth across multiple industries and supporting new unicorn startups.

Other initiatives include large-scale urban renewal projects, major road network expansions, and substantial support for commerce and finance, with a goal to surpass 1.6 trillion yuan in financial sector value.

With these strategic moves, Tianhe is poised to become a leader in modern industry and innovation.
