Tianhe Hospital gets green light for new land
The Zhuji branch of the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University has recently secured land approval for its establishment. This decision will facilitate the necessary road greening needed to support the project's implementation.
As one of Tianhe district's top 10 livelihood projects in 2024, the project is set to optimize medical resource allocation in the region further.

The project site spans roughly 97 mu (6.47 hectares) and is designed to support 1,000 beds. The total investment for the hospital is estimated at 2.09 billion yuan ($285.27 million), with a projected completion date in January 2028.
This facility will be classified as a third-grade hospital, representing the highest rank within China's three-tier grading system. The hospital will establish five key emergency and critical care centers focused on chest pain, apoplexy, trauma, critical obstetric care, and pediatric critical care.
Additionally, a 5,010-square-meter Zhuji Community Health Service Center will be constructed to strengthen regional medical consortium development.
