The Guangdong New Quality Productive Forces Development Seminar was held on Dec 18 at the International Guangzhou Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Tianhe Base.

During the seminar, the top 10 benchmark cases for new quality productive forces in Guangdong province were revealed. That was followed by a selection of innovative and outstanding cases, following a thorough four-month review and evaluation process.

Tianhe district of Guangzhou was recognized as the region of the year for developing new quality productive forces.

The district reportedly excelled by attaining the top five-star rating following evaluations across 20 indicators spanning five key dimensions: Talent development, technological innovation, the cultivation of growth drivers, high-quality industrial advancement, and the provision of policies and platforms.

The Tianhe bureau of science, industry and information technology's case – "Tianhe Youchuang Leads the Province in High-Quality Development of Innovative Carriers" – was chosen as one of the top 10 benchmark cases for new quality productive forces in Guangdong province.

Currently, the district is home to 267 incubators and maker spaces, with 61 at the provincial-level or above. Both those figures secured Tianhe the top rankings in Guangzhou city.
