Expo shines spotlight on Guangdong's seeds industry
The 23rd Guangdong Seed Expo kicked off at the Guangdong Modern Agricultural Technology and Equipment Demonstration Base in Tianhe district, Guangzhou on Dec 12, drawing big international interest from the sector.
This year's expo featured opening events, seminars, exhibitions, and more. It aimed to stimulate cross-sector collaboration and cooperation to foster new quality productive forces in the seed industry.

More than 1,000 corporate seed giants from at home and abroad – including Glseed, Xianmei Seed, Helinong, Syngenta, Bayer, and Rijk Zwaan – displayed over 5,000 excellent seed varieties at the event.
The modern agricultural equipment exhibition area attracted the participation of 33 companies, which showcased over 100 items of machinery and equipment.

During the opening ceremony, the China National Seed Trade Association signed a cooperation agreement with the Chilean Seed Association.
In addition, the Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Center and the Tianhe district government agreed to cooperate to promote the development of the local seed sector.
