The Tianhe central business district (CBD) was recently awarded the title of "the most consumer-leading business district" at the annual meeting of the China Central Business Alliance in Beijing.

In 2023, the Tianhe CBD realized a regional CDP of 377.4 billion yuan ($52.02 billion), contributing to one-eighth of Guangzhou's total.

The Tianhe Road Business Circle in the CBD, covering a commercial space of 2.4 million square meters, had the total sales of goods exceed 600 billion yuan in 2023, and the daily passenger flow reached 1.5 million people.

There are 1,014 commerce and trade enterprises in the Tianhe CBD, of which one has sales of over 100 billion yuan and 12 of over 10 billion yuan. The number of headquarters companies stands at 124 in the region, accounting for 23.09 percent of Guangzhou's total.

The Tianhe CBD also has 124 commercial buildings, totaling a combined floor area of over 14 million sq m, with over 90 percent occupancy rate.

Besides, it is home to one-third of Guangzhou's accounting and law firms, one-fifth of the city's real estate agents, as well as 70 percent of the city's human resources agencies, providing the most convenient and comprehensive professional services for enterprises.
