The 2024 Guangzhou Flower Fairy Festival kicked off at Zhujiang Park in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on April 14.

The Flower Fairy Festival is set to commemorate the birth of the flower fairy, which falls on the 2nd, 12th, 15th, or 25th day of the second month of China's lunar calendar. It can be dated back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and became a folk festival in the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

This year's festival was composed of seven events, including the flower fairy competition, a folk bazaar, a spring parade, and a talent show.
