Guangzhou's Tianhe district ranked second on the 2023 list of China's top 100 districts for investment competitiveness, which was released on Dec 6 by the market research firm CCID Consulting.

The list assessed more than 900 districts around the country in six aspects – ease of handling government affairs, opening up, basic environment, industrial vitality, talent attractiveness, and factor guarantee.

Additionally, Guangzhou's Yuexiu district ranked 11th, Huangpu district ranked 14th, Baiyun district ranked 17th, Panyu district ranked 18th, and Haizhu district ranked 33rd, respectively, on the list.
