Yueken Road enters Guangzhou's protection list
Yueken Road in Tianhe district was recently included in Guangzhou's name protection list.
The list has a total of 441 entries, all of which are the names of old places or historic places in Guangzhou, along with their Roman spelling, origin, meaning, and historic evolution.
Food from all over the country, such as Hakka cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, and Cantonese cuisine, can be found on Yueken Road. [Photo/WeChat account: tianhefabu]
Yueken Road, formerly known as Tianfu Road, was built in 1997 with the investment by Guangdong Agribusiness Group Corporation. It was renamed in 1998, and now its name means deep plowing.
Yueken Road is about 800 meters long and 20 meters wide, and intersects with Yanling Road, Yandu Road, Jinyan Road, Qiaoyan Street, and Dongguan Village Road.
