The integrated transportation hub in the Guangzhou International Financial City, also known as the Financial City Square, is scheduled to finish construction by the end of this year and open to the public in November 2024.

The transportation hub will have a combined floor space of nearly 85,000 square meters and will integrate shopping, leisure and retail outlets and public transport transfers.

The Guangzhou International Financial City Station is an important station on the Guangzhou-Foshan Intercity Rail. Upon completion of the east loop of the intercity line in November 2024, it will only take 10 minutes to travel from the station to the Guangzhou South Railway Station and 20 minutes to the Baiyun International Airport.

Starting from Huangpu Avenue and Zhongshan Avenue in the north, the Pearl River in the south, and the South China Express line in the west, the Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district will cover a land area of 8 square kilometers and have a planned floor area of nearly 26 million square meters. It is located at the junction of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Technological Innovation Corridor, Guangzhou's sci-tech innovation axis and economic belt along the Pearl River

In 2023, it has 25 first-grade buildings either under construction or already finished, with a construction area exceeding 2.4 million sq m.

Its starting area has introduced 12 financial institutions, including China Guangfa Bank and China Pacific Insurance, while its eastern area has attracted leading enterprises like Macao-based Luso International Banking and Kugou Music. Over 120 enterprises engaged in the digital creative industry have chosen to set up operations in the northern area, and construction is being advanced on the T.I.T Wisdom Park and the China Artificial Intelligence (Guangzhou) Industrial Park in the western area.
