This year's Guangzhou Food Festival will take place at the south square of the Tianhe Sports Center from Dec 20 to 24, according to a press conference held on Oct 23.

The event will combine traditional and modern elements such as featured food, intangible cultural heritage items, Lingnan culture, and opportunities for young people to socialize. Interactive zones for music performances, documentary viewing, and farmers' market livestreaming will also be set up.

It will include about 150 booths seeking to serve as a high-quality industrial exchange and exhibition platform.

Chefs from Michelin-starred or Black Pearl restaurants at home and abroad will be invited to the event to launch new products, cook signature dishes on site, and provide customized packages.

Chen Xiaoqing, director of food documentaries A Bite of China and Once Upon a Bite, is looking forward to the event, as food giants and famous chefs from all over the world will gather in Guangzhou, known as the "pickiest eater" in the country.
