The concreting work recently wrapped up on the first prefabricated box girder for the SG01 contract section of the Zengcheng-Tianhe Expressway, which will link Guangzhou's Zengcheng and Tianhe districts.

The Zengcheng-Tianhe Expressway, one part on the Zengcheng-Foshan Expressway, is an important tunnel that will connect the northern part of Guangzhou with Heyuan and Foshan. It will run for a total length of 38.4 kilometers.

Construction of the Zengcheng section of the expressway started in July 2022, and is expected to be completed in December 2025.

After it is put into operation, the travel time between Tianhe and Zengcheng will be shortened to around 30 minutes.
