Tianhe business district's leading industries see rapid growth
The five main industrial clusters in Tianhe Intelligent Business District, namely animation and e-sports, intelligent and new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence and rail transit, 5G applications and smart cities, as well as digital agriculture, generated 178.7 billion yuan ($28.16 billion) in operation revenue in 2021.
Tianhe district has been promoting the development of the animation and e-sports industry. In 2020, it launched an e-sports industrial development plan (2020-30). Preferential policies were also offered by the Tianhe Intelligent Business District.
There are currently 84 animation and e-sports-related enterprises in the business district. They realized 65.2 billion yuan in revenue last year, increasing by 9 percent year-on-year and accounting for nearly half of Guangzhou's total.

All elements on the intelligent and new energy vehicle industrial chain can get sufficient supply in the business district. XPeng Motors aims to serve the whole vehicle segment, while Guangzhou Ligong Technology can provide chips and smart IoT solutions.
In addition, a three-level service platform integrating the management committee, carriers, and enterprises has been established by the business district to offer differentiated services for related enterprises.
To date, 12 leading intelligent and new energy vehicle enterprises have settled in the business district, which had an operation revenue of 28.9 billion yuan in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 204 percent.
The many scientific research platforms in the business district have helped attract high-caliber talents, as well as leading AI and rail transit enterprises. Its 82 AI and rail transit enterprises achieved 27.8 billion yuan in revenue in 2021, with a year-on-year growth rate of 7 percent.

In the business district, 36 enterprises involved in 5G applications and smart cities have settled, whose revenue reached 56.1 billion yuan in 2021, rising by 3 percent year-on-year.
In the construction of "Xue Ruyi," or the National Ski Jumping Center, a venue for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics located in Chongli district in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, South Group from the business district used independently developed SF700A unmanned aerial vehicles and T53 tilting cameras to collect data and generate a 3D deviated model of "Xue Ruyi" and its surrounding area.
The development of the digital agriculture industry has brought more and more high-tech products to farmers. There are eight leading digital agricultural enterprises in the business district, generating 700 million yuan in revenue in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 21 percent.
