The annual gala for the 2021 Shang Tianhe Cultural Season and the Tianhe culture salon took place at the Yishidai Art Museum in Tianhe district, Guangzhou on Jan 11.

The Shang Tianhe Cultural Season, which has been a major focus of Tianhe, has carried out more than 100 cultural events since 2016. It integrates diverse arts into people's lives.

A total of 17 cultural events were held during the 2021 Shang Tianhe Cultural Season, including the fourth Guangzhou Outdoor Art Festival, Guangzhou MDSK Trend Music Festival, Guangzhou stop of Zhang Xinzhe's 2021 world tour, and Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair, benefiting more than one million people.

The Tianhe culture salon, focusing on policies, industries and academics, offers a communication platform for scholars and enterprises. This year's culture salon focused on the data legalization and intellectual property protection of networking cultural products.

Experts like Dong Peng, general manager of the Legal Department of Kugou Music, Li Yuan, PhD in data protection law at the University of Macerata in Italy, Song Yaxin, visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Germany, and Wu Xiurong, copartner of Guangzhou Kingpound Law Firm, were invited to share their opinions at the culture salon.
