Plans for the Tianhe Foreign Language School's new campus in Tianhe Intelligence Business District (IBD) were recently approved by the Guangzhou municipal people's government.

The new campus will be located in the plot where the Changban Sanniao Market was previously located. It will help solve problems of low-quality education infrastructure and lack of high-quality educational resources in northeast Tianhe district and more equally allocate regional educational resources.

The plot covers an area of 11.84 hectares, and the new campus will have a combined floor area of 91,354 square meters and a green space proportion of more than 35 percent.

The campus is expected to include 60 senior high school classes and 30 junior high school classes which can hold a total of 4,500 students.
