Tianhe sci-tech park to better serve SMEs
The opening ceremony for the Sinyink-Ceprei Science and Technology Park took place in Tianhe district, Guangzhou on Jan 8.
The sci-tech park was guided by the Guangzhou municipal industry and information technology bureau and the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

It will provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the industrialization transformation of scientific research achievements, as well as investment and financing services, by cooperating with joint venture capital and banks.
To date, 15 enterprises involved in the fields of artificial intelligence, communication applications, technology applications, and cloud computing have been introduced in the sci-tech park, with the signing ceremony held the same day.
In addition, the Guangzhou SME service digital platform, the first of its kind in the city, was launched at the opening ceremony to provide comprehensive services for specialized, sophisticated, featured and novel SMEs in policies, financing, digitalization, certification, and human resources.
In recent years, Guangzhou has taken various measures to cultivate specialized, sophisticated, featured and novel SMEs and improve their innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. It is home to 68 national, 410 provincial, and 1,859 city-level specialized, sophisticated, featured and novel SMEs.
In 2021, a total of 120 billion yuan ($18.83 billion) in special financing was offered by the Guangzhou municipal industry and information technology bureau to help with loans, trade financing, investment and bonds.
