In recent years, the Tianhe Intelligence Business District (IBD) has been focusing on the development of five industrial clusters, namely intelligent network and new energy vehicles, animation and e-sports, artificial intelligence and rail transit, 5G application and smart city, and digital agriculture.

Tianhe IBD further optimized its industrial structure through advanced planning and introduced enterprises through investment promotion.

Since the beginning of 2021, it has carried out industrial planning in three key areas, including the land on the eastern side of Keyun Road, and has accordingly introduced a number of enterprises such as XPeng Motors and Yame Technology.

To date, nine plots have been sold with a total land area of 17.85 hectares, as well as a building area of about 220,000 square meters. The total investment is expected to reach 7.78 billion yuan ($1.22 billion).

Tianhe IBD also built a three-level carrier service platform integrating management committee, carriers and enterprises to promote resource sharing and exchange among the 23 sub-parks for investment promotion.

It currently has about 3.54 million sq m of carrier space. In 2021, a total of 310 enterprises set up operations in the area, focusing on information transmission, software and information technology services, and leasing and business services.

To further enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in the district, Tianhe IBD has given full play to the public technology service platforms, providing support for enterprises in sci-tech innovation.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator Base, which was put into operation in March 2021, can provide free product and production testing services to help reduce costs for enterprises.

In addition, it has taken multiple measures to provide accurate services for enterprises, and helped them gain policy support. From 2017 to 2021, a total of 4,125 enterprises in the business district were awarded a total of 456 million yuan.

Three customized financial products were also launched in Tianhe IBD to help innovative enterprises. So far, seven enterprises have received 23 million yuan in financing.
