Tianhe business circle sees tourism boom over holiday
Since the beginning of New Year's Eve, the amount of people at Tianhe Road Business Circle has increased significantly, with large numbers of shoppers queuing outside various stores.
The long queues have been around for some time, said the person in charge of the Grandview Mall in Tianhe Road Business Circle, especially at restaurants on weekends. People have to queue for more than two hours to get into restaurants.
"That's why our mall opened 15 minutes earlier in the morning and closed half an hour later in the evening," said the person. "There were still a lot of visitors even at 10:45 pm."
The daily passenger flow at the Grandview Mall was 150,000 to 200,000 people during the three-day New Year holiday from Jan 1 to 3.
