Tianhe district carried out a campaign to promote COVID-19 vaccination on Dec 19 in the district's Tianhe Park.

It is meant to encourage everybody to be vaccinated and build a solid epidemic prevention barrier to ensure public safety.

Zhang Chunhuan, deputy director of the immunization planning department of the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention, offered a detailed explanation of issues related to COVID-19 vaccination to help the public learn more about the vaccines.

Qin Zhaonian, an 87-year-old veteran who fought in the Korean War (1950-1953) and a moral model of Guangzhou, shared his vaccination experience onsite to encourage the elderly to get vaccinated.

In addition, a variety of performances were held, including an epidemic song recomposed from a pop song and crosstalk, the original play by the Guangzhou Song and Dance Theater, and dance and live calligraphy performances by the Yinling Dance Troupe of the district's Tianyuan neighborhood.
