On Nov 23, CCID Consulting issued the top 100 districts in 2021 in terms of investment competitiveness. Tianhe district in Guangzhou topped the list.

The list assessed the 906 districts under the jurisdiction of prefecture-level cities around the country in five aspects – ease of handling government affairs, opening up, basic environment, urban vitality and factor guarantee.

Tianhe has established a strong talent service system that creates a comfortable living and working environment for talent while promoting innovation. It has also built a public service platform for innovative and entrepreneurial talent known as Tianhe Talent Port, established an innovative urban area for young people, and made great efforts to discover, cultivate and subsidize technological talent.

The district offers abundant job opportunities, has well-equipped medical, educational and business facilities and has a favorable business environment. A series of incentives were also launched to attract talent and optimize the environment for talent development.

To date, the district has employed 54 academicians, and more than 300,000 professionals in various industries. The 21 enterprises in Tianhe have academicians, postdoctoral and doctoral research stations.

The district's investment competitiveness is also reflected in the number of newly added market entities. In the first three quarters of this year, Tianhe had 124,000 newly registered enterprises, an increase of 72.5 percent and accounting for 35.8 percent of the total in Guangzhou.
