After 30 years of development, the Tianhe Science and Technology Industrial Park in Guangzhou has become a national high-tech industry park, forming a development model that revolves around one core area with 23 supporting areas.

The park has bared witness to the technological development of Guangzhou over the years, and has been hailed as the city's "Silicon Valley".

In 2020, the industrial park's gross trading income was 263.8 billion yuan ($41.33 billion), and it was home to more than 2,000 technology firms by the end of the year, of which over 1,000 are high-tech firms.

Tianhe Intelligence Business District, which was built in the industrial park in 2012, has been playing an important role in the technological innovation and integrated development of the city’s industries.

By the end of 2020, there were more than 600 new-generation information technology enterprises operating in the Tianhe Intelligence Business District, making it a crucial artificial intelligence and digital economy center in Guangzhou.

In the next five years, the Tianhe Intelligence Business District will strive to put more than 25 projects into operation.

It will promote the planning and implementation of the intelligent connected vehicle industrial park, introduce and cultivate more leading enterprises in the software industry and high-tech enterprises with high growth potential, and build an industrial chain revolving around new-generation information technology and bolstered by digital cultural innovation and modern urban industries.
