Tianhe GDP up 10.1% in Jan-Sept
The regional GDP of Tianhe district, Guangzhou reached 438.62 billion yuan ($68.5 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, increasing by 10.1 percent year on year and accounting for 21.9 percent of the city's total.
The added value of the district's primary industry was 192 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9 percent; that of the secondary industry totaled 29.96 billion yuan, up 8.8 percent year on year; while that of the tertiary industry was 408.46 billion yuan, increasing by 10.2 percent year on year.

The output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Tianhe from January to September was 70.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of 10.7 percent. The total retail sales of consumer goods were 150.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.9 percent.
From January to September, Tianhe increased the added value of its modern service industry by 8.8 percent, which also made up 71.2 percent of the city's total. The added value of the new-generation information technology industry was 78.61 billion yuan, up 8.8 percent year on year.
There were 456,200 enterprises in Tianhe district by the end of September, accounting for 26.2 percent of the total in Guangzhou. Newly-registered enterprises in the district numbered 124,000, increasing by 72.5 percent and making up 35.8 percent of the city's total.
The actual utilized foreign funds in Tianhe from January to September were $1.26 billion, 159.5 percent of the district's annual target.
The 131 key projects in Tianhe completed a total investment of 20.63 billion yuan, 94 percent of the annual investment plan.
