In recent years, Tianhe district has been beautifying its communities to heighten residents' happiness and activate new drivers of urban development.

In Yaogang community, dilapidated flower beds and old sports facilities have been updated along with the construction of a children's amusement park, several benches, and small parks to bring more comfort to residents.

A rainwater and sewage water diversion project has been implemented in Qiaoting community to alleviate the problems of rainwater flooding the streets and also solve the problems of uneven, lumpy and flooded roads.

The Xinghua neighborhood has been beautifying Yantang Road from three aspects of civil construction, garden construction and greening. It paved 500 meters of sidewalks on both sides of Yantang Road, renovated roadside stones and decorated flower beds.

The 24-hour garbage classification and delivery site in the small park in the Changleyuan community has been modernized, and the comprehensive elderly care service center was put into use.

By 2020, 17 of the 230 communities in Tianhe district have been rated as city-level appearance demonstration communities.
