The first batch of 10 science park intellectual property (IP) mortgage and financing service workstations in Guangzhou was recently set up.

Four science parks, which belong to Guangzhou Technology Finance Group, a subsidiary of Tianhe-based Guangzhou State-owned Capital Operation Holdings, were also included.

This is the first innovative measure in China that brings IP mortgage and financing services to science parks. It will further improve the popularity and benefits of IP mortgage and financing to better meet the financing needs of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises, and promote their development.

Guangzhou Technology Finance Group, with the support of all-level governments in Guangdong province, has granted credit loans of 1 billion yuan ($155.1 million) to more than 200 enterprises.
