Tianhe CBD strives to become digital trade demonstration zone
The central business district (CBD) in Tianhe district will strive to become a national digital trade pilot demonstration zone and deeply implement the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), said Chen Hui, head of the comprehensive office of the Tianhe CBD management committee, at a news briefing that was held on Aug 20.

According to Chen, the Tianhe CBD will strive for policy support, release a provincial-level work plan to support the construction of a digital service export base, and make preparations for the hosting of the national digital export base development forum.
In addition, the Tianhe CBD will explore the establishment of Tianhe Standards for digital trade, further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, and promote the wide application of cross-border financial policies such as the free trade (FT) accounts.
It will also participate in the formulation of international rules on cross-border data flow, data localization and data statistics, and promote the establishment of an international business and digital economy arbitration center as soon as possible, Chen said.
