More than 30 digital trade enterprises and industrial parks from South China’s Guangdong province attended the 2021 China International Digital and Software Service Fair, which was held in Dalian, Liaoning province, from July 22 to 25.

They showcased over 100 high-tech products and new technologies at the fair, highlighting the competitiveness of the province's digital economy.

Tianhe Central Business District (CBD) in Guangzhou, Guangdong’s capital city, is one of the high-quality industrial parks that took part in the digital and software service fair.

As the only park in Guangdong that was approved as one of the first 12 national digital service export bases in 2020, Tianhe CBD has gathered together over 20,000 technology companies.

Among them are more than 700 national high-tech enterprises, 16 high-tech innovation service centers (incubators), 28 maker spaces - incubators that provide co-working space for startups - and 53 China’s National Equities Exchange and Quotations listed enterprises. In addition, four companies were selected as part of China's top 100 internet companies in 2019.

This year marked the 19th anniversary of the China International Digital and Software Service Fair, a national platform advancing the high-quality development of the country’s digital economy as well as promoting openness and cooperation in the field.

Covering an area of 35,000 square meters, the service fair accommodated 500 enterprises which took part in the offline exhibitions. The exhibition area of Guangdong's enterprises was 120 square meters.

Most of the Guangdong exhibitors were companies in the fields of digital technology, digital applications, digital products and digital services, which are the main aspects of digital industrialization.

In addition, there were hundreds of digital trade enterprises in Guangdong that attended the fair online.

According to the province’s department of commerce, the developing focus of Guangdong is to transform from trade in goods to trade in both goods and services. Digital trade and service trade are believed to complement each other, said the department.
